New Members

  • Please welcome Lucy Kentish to SPIN as the new SPIN Administrative Assistant. Lucy is a PhD researcher in the School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies at the University of Bristol and joins us having been an administrative assistant for Bristol’s Gender Research Centre. Lucy’s research focuses on education policies post-conflict, with a case study of Northern Ireland.

  • Welcome to SPIN Tim Aistrope (Kent). Tim explores the relationship between political culture and world politics, especially the way it shapes our understanding of past events and potential futures. I have studied this relationship across case studies on conspiracy theory, social media, sport, the horror genre, and populist security practices, connecting each with how we make sense of the world around us and our place in it. You can find more on his project on populism, Covid-19 and Conspiracy Theories via the SPIN Project page.

  • You can see a list and links for all our SPINsters on our People
